24 Oct Simple Studio Setup
I’ve been working on a photography shoot for a well known publishing house, taking photos of some of their products for their website. When trying to figure out how I would do the shoot there were a few options open to me.
- Hire Studio space
- Hire a light tent
- Build my own light tent
- Go ad-hoc
I didn’t want or need to go and hire studio space for the shoot. The client also didn’t have the budget for kit/studio hire and I didn’t want to spend too much time building my own light tent so I setup in the office using a couple of lights and softboxes. The above image is how I had it.
I’m glad I went for this option as there was more control this way. It was a really great simple shoot and I’m currently doing some Photoshop work to get the shots finalised.
